U-Factor means The rate of heat loss through the window. The lower the U-factor, the better the window’s insulating value. A U-factor of .35 or less is recommended for northern climates.
SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) – The amount of solar radiation that passes through the window. The lower the SHGC, the less solar radiation transmitted.
VT (Visible Transmittance) – The amount of visible light transmitted through the window. The higher the VT, the more light transmitted.
